Wow! That’s a rich history. RICH! I know in the past people of all nationalities and cultures were embarrassed of their familial history. Over the past few decades, the tide has turned and people all over the country are flocking to discover their true roots. The fact that you value black history and support BlackLivesMatter is a testament to the movement’s validity in honoring the contributions of black Americans past and present, and those who support them. I still maintain that your family’s involvement with black Americans—and your own—are stories that need to be told.
