Janet, one way that a person can improve critical thinking skills (that doesn’t cost as much as a college degree) is to interact with those who are “different” (for want of a better term) and learn about their culture, customs, and traditions. Joining a book club or reading group can be very eye-opening. It’s interesting to see how different people can interpret the same text. The added bonus of this type of experience is that participants often get to hear how people form their opinions. Thanks for your time!
