This is what I’m saying! Or haven’t said directly, but have been pointing to. People feel disrespected because that’s what’s being done to us.

We hand our works over, with the understanding that we’re not simply grist for the mill, a “starter spouse,” or a tool to leverage something else.

I’m tired of the “it’s the algorithm,” excuse. I tell you what though, guys like John Pavlovitz were wise to keep all their writing exclusive to their own websites and push it through Twitter. That guy has a HUMONGOUS following, and Medium had nothing to do with it.
