Thanks Sam McKenzie Jr.

Color-blindness is one one of those “things” that can ever so slowly erode a person’s sense of self-worth. You know, I think in some policies, court rulings and the like, the tendency can be for those in power to only see color as painted with the broad brush of their imagined stereotypes. I’m sure someone reading this is wondering “Well, what do you want? Do you want your color to be seen or not?” And my answer would be: see me as human being first and recognize that my color doesn’t lessen my humanity, but enhances it.

Justice is not blind. She makes active use of all her senses, sometimes it takes a finger on the scale to balance the system’s prejudice.

Thanks for commenting, Sam.
