This is an amazing essay. You say so much of what I haven’t been able to put into words. Part of the reason things are so screwed up is because there are people like the woman mentioned in this New Yorker article who are wielding control, not influence, over legislators and writing gun policies of their own liking and steamrolling them into laws. Sit back with a cup of coffee and take it in, it’s a long but important article.
