James Finn, Jonathan Greene, Mateja Klaric, and everyone else who’s ever sounded the alarm. Thank you.

It’s nice to see that this feature is working, but as Jonathan points out in his post there are retroactive issues tied to clapping that we’ve all seen that have yet to be addressed. I find this especially distressing as we entered an agreement with Medium based on trust (that we would produce essays, poetry, and the like that was ours and we would compensated based on reader response based on their recording of claps). I won’t even start on having to HUNT for writers I’ve chosen to follow.

Will Medium announce this resolution as broadly as the one concerning traditionally published authors receiving places of prominence? Asking for a friend.

Jim, thanks for taking the time and putting for the energy and letting me know. It’s greatly appreciated.
