Jack, great first article in the thread by the way. I think Violet has a point. Maybe they are trying to thin the herd. It seems to me that the people who aren’t thrilled with the new changes are of a certain age.

Think about it.

Team Listicle, Team Start-Up, and the You Can Have It All Now chorus are of a totally different demo- and psychographic than those of who have found a type of community/tribe based on a more in-depth use and connection with words. It’s an expressive/relational usage of words versus an informational/how-to get ahead usage.

For real.

There’s plenty of people getting thousands of recommends for everything they write, but chances are it doesn’t appeal to you or Violet or Meg or any of us who have actually lived a little.

Just a thought.
