Interculturalisticman, I can’t put my finger on exactly why … maybe it’s that “a dream deferred” theme that runs through your list, but of all the lists I’ve read, yours is the one that has most easily moved me to the brink of tears.

You have the makings of a wonderful book. Right here. In these ten items. Your writing here is the BEST I’ve read of yours. It’s straightforward, not overworked; and the emotion is captivating. It’s charming. It WORKS.

(NOTE: Read the preceding paragraph again and again until you believe it.)

Number 10 is devastating, comic (in a macabre kinda way), redemptive, and vibrant.

Start gathering the pieces for your book. I don’t know what you’re waiting for. You have so much to share. I don’t read a lot, but the things that I do read tend to be pretty good. LOL! Yes, I have discriminating tastes. You can do this. Don’t trust me, trust yourself.
