Girl (and I say that not in a demeaning or sexist way, but as a term of endearment)—

You’d better write that book. You probably have stories and adventures people are hungry for.

Write it.

You’ll be 60 before you know it, wondering why you didn’t write that book. Don’t deprive the world of you.

Write. That. Book.

And stop asking yourself if you suck. There’s a hundred million people who know nothing about you or your talents or your history who will gleefully tell you not only that you suck, but you’re silly to think about writing a book.

The question isn’t do you suck as a writer. The question is: are you willing to do the work it takes to find out how good a writer you are?

You’d better write that damn book.

Good luck, and let me know how it turns out when you’re done!
