Hey, Sorry in Selma,
I’d like to add just a word or two to Aunty’s sage advice. Four words about conversion therapy: been there, done that.
While it didn’t “cure” me of being gay, what I discovered along the way was the cause of my depression. Once I the discovered that, working through the cause — going into the basement of unresolved issues, examining them, seeing them for what they were in the light of truth, wrestling them into submission — and realizing that God loves me just the way I am, despite what others might think, say, or do. And if he can (which he does), then so can I. Shamelessly.
Always bet on yourself. Self-acceptance is a process. Stick with it.
You’re so worth it.
