Dennett, fear can be a great motivator. The question is “how will you respond to that fear?” Will you become paralyzed to the point of inaction and silence and become compliant? Or will you take a stand and inform others of what you know to be true?

I’m sure I’ll lose a number of “friends” over this post, but I feel I’ve been silent (complicit) for far too long. If I can’t be in relationship with someone and discuss our differences in a calm and rational way, then I’d much rather that people part ways with me for standing for the truth than be all enamored with their interpretation of me that’s patently false.
