Colette, this was a challenging piece to write. A few months ago I went through a situation in which I felt (along with several other people) that I had been treated unjustly. The incident stung like a brick in the face, and even though it’s been several months, it’s taking every fiber of my being to constraint my Category 5 fury. It is a disservice for me to behave that way, to hold a grudge, or exact anything close to retribution.

Dishonesty and duplicity are twins born of malice. And I choose to ignore their shenanigans. It’s a challenge to forgive and ignore, but it’s better that skip the feud than to be thought a part of that family.

I’m starting to think you and I might be traveling down the same road.

Thanks for the comment. Always good to hear from you!
