Chris, I hoped people would enjoy these writers’ work as much I do. In addition to all that I said about them in the preface to the list, it dawned on me that these people are offering quick solutions. They understand that the solutions to life’s problem seldom if ever lie in a bulleted list. Via their own experience they know that life is messy, and yet they press on.
