Thanks for weighing in. I’ve noticed a funky parallel between Medium and life: whatever you look for is what you’ll see. I know it’s going to sound crazy, but here me out.

I know nothing about algorithms and all that stuff, but when I first started out on Medium it seemed like whatever I click on or give my attention, the Medium genie seemed to give me more and more of that. If I clicked a few listicles — poof! — I received a more listicle laden fare. Writing — poof! — more writing articles. The same held true for political, personal drama, blah, blah, blah — poof! Poof! POOF! And still holds true now.

I think life’s kinda that, too. If you’re looking for the bad you’ll see the bad. If you’re looking for the affirming or creative, you’ll find it.

I’m glad the Medium genie served you my post and that it was relevant and timely.

“Whatever you look for is what you’ll see.”

Maybe there’s an article there … hm.

Thanks again, borne.
