A Dash of Bitters

With 2 Parts Whiskey, 1 Part Vermouth, and a Maraschino Cherry (also known as a Manhattan)

I’m branching out here on Medium by trying my hand at topics other that “race in America,” because well, you know (or maybe you don’t) while it’s a hot button topic, it can be exhausting and repetitive. How many different ways can one say treat others the way you want to be treated? For the answer to that question you could count my essays on Medium and that’s a start, but it’s rhetorical so don’t bother.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you saw this story—

or this one?

I ask because I have to wonder is it poorly written or did it fall victim to the Medium algorithm? If it’s poorly written and doesn’t work, I’ll stay in my lane. But if it’s the freaking algorithm, I’ll … well, there’s nothing I can do. I’ll just go have a Manhattan, call it a day, and try again.

What I’m looking for is feedback, not claps. If you’ve got a minute or two, I’d appreciate your take them. I’m working on becoming a better writer.

Thanks.
