alto, thank you. I think everyone has something unique to bring to the fight against the evils that are racism and bigotry. Each person’s voice can be powerfully encouraging to an unknown number of people, when the truth is spoken in love — not once or twice or at the inception of a new hashtag in memory of another slain black person; but always and everywhere, and especially to the face of said evils. You and the writers mentioned in your exquisite piece and many more not mentioned inspire me (in ways I can not explain) to dig deeper within and look longer at that which needs to be examined, parsed, and countered with understanding and truth. For that I am truly grateful. Everyone comes at this issue from various points of reference and life experience, but the message is the same: Black lives matter. It’s the whole one chorus different voices thing. And there’s profound beauty in that. That my writing can offer something new or move anyone to take a stand fills a personal longing that’s worth all the claps in Medium. Thank you so very much.
