… about this one little bit—and I am not giving a pass here—there have been times when I’ve not felt the need to explain things that for me or many others what I would consider common knowledge. There have been times when I couldn’t have been and wasn’t bothered to break it down. But there have also been times when I have taken time (that I’d rather have been doing something relevant to my own benefit) to explain something. I’ve found that it’s those times when I’m least in the mood for it, when I give of myself, those are the times when uncomfortable truths and broken down into their component parts that people get it.

I want to encourage you to keep doing what you’re doing—you’re good at it. There will continue to be situations in which you are the perfect person to help people get it simply because of who you are and your experiences.
